OCEAN WAVES GUILD
Memorial Challenge 2020
The Art of Quilting is a journey. We know that no quilter attempts this journey alone. There have always been seasoned quilters to act as guides along the way. For example: the person who first introduced you to the world of quilts and beautiful fabrics or that person who helped you understand color and pattern; the person who guided you through your first quilt block or your first binding and the list goes on. This year we are asking you to honor these people in your quilt. What you learned from them must be directly reflected in your quilt entry.
The Challenge: To recognize and honor one or more quilters who made an impact on you and your quilting life. The reason you are honoring this person must be visible in the quilt.
You may honor up to three persons in your quilt. When the quilts are hung for judging, the names of those being honored will be written on a card along with how they influenced you as a quilter.
