It is her 3rd big prize in Houston.

3 hs Workshop
This class will be held on Saturday, Feb. 9th after the general meeting.

FABRIC MAKEOVER TECHNIQUES
Workshop price $45 + $15 Kit = $60.00

In this 3 hour class, art quilt techniques will be used to create fabric “makeovers.” These techniques can be applied to bags, accessories, quilts, etc. Participants will be creating 6” samples and should plan to bring their sewing machine, a variety of threads, and general sewing supplies.

This kit includes: Batting, cheese cloth, organza, twine, scrap fabric, yarn, ribbon, brush.
Student supply list: You will need to bring your sewing machine with sewing supplies, all purpose foot (regular presser foot) and free motion quilting foot (darning foot), electric soldering iron or wood burning tool (if you don’t have one don’t worry, the teacher will have some to share in class), pins, paper scissor, fabric scissor, machine thread – polyester (embroider thread) beige or gray (neutral color).

6 hs Workshop
This class will be held on Sunday, Feb. 10th
from 9:30 am to 4 pm

CONTEMPORARY MOSAIC – FACE
Workshop price $80 + $30 Kit = $110.00

In this 6 hour class, you will learn to transform any image into a beautiful contemporary mosaic. You will learn how to determine the size of pieces and how to choose colors without losing the details of the original image. Participants will trace their own mosaic from a facial image provided by the teacher and start a 12” x 12” mosaic in cotton. No sewing machine required.

This kit includes: Original image, mosaic trace to use in the practice in class, fabric base, fabric to use on the mosaic, steam a seam 2.
Student supply list: You will need to bring a temporary glue 505 (if you don’t have teacher will have one to share in class) black fine point permanent marker (Sharpie), blue fine point permanent marker (Sharpie), eraser, scissor and small sharp scissor.
Note: You will not need to bring your sewing machine.
