November:

• First we will have the Veterans Ceremony -  Quilts of Valor,  followed by a Saturday Workshop.
• It will be a  1/2 day class, and Sunday a full day class. Both with Marina Landi a Fiber Artist from Brazil, that some of us already know from  her work in U.S.  Quilt Shows,  She is a SAQA Brazil member and had quilts in the Shows I have curated in Brazil and here in U.S.
  We think about Marina also when we remember her work from the  Houston International Quilt Festival.
  Who could forget her beautiful quilts that received the big prizes in 2014 and last year?

About The Workshop
Project Size 16” x 16”
​
Saturday Nov. 11th     1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Sunday    Nov. 12th  10:00 am to 1:00 pm 
                                  & 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm

Workshop  Fee (9 hs) :   $80.00
Kit:    $20.00

Kit includes:

• Handout with Workshop Summary
• Image to use
• Enlarged  image 16” x 16” approximately
• Fabric for the project

Material the student must bring:

• Approximately 20 inches (or 4 to 5 sheets) of
  Steam a Seam 2 or Steam a Seam 2 Lite
  
• Permanent marker Black  - Ultra Fine Point Sharpie
• Regular pencil, Scissors, Small Sharp Scissors
• Temporary spray glue 505 (can share at class)
• Cell phone with full battery or charger (We will use the camera a lot)

Obs:

• Class will be in Portuguese, and translated by Deda Maldonado
• Student will need the kit to take the class
• Student will not need sewing machine, only an iron
• Kits will be assemble in Brazil with Brazilian cotton fabrics
• Teacher will bring to sell dyed pure silk and some kits with different designs and fabric.​
