Sew Many Quilts
Sew Many Quilts” is an Ocean Waves ‘Open House’ activity to promote quilting in the community and membership in our Guild. It will take place during our May 13th general meeting (immediately after a brief business meeting) from 10:30 am – noon at the West Kendall Regional Library. Come on out to our May meeting and participate….many hands make light work!
“Sew Many Quilts” needs volunteers for the following components:
Timeline:
March/April meeting: Review project, collect any quilts brought by members, continue volunteer sign-up, send information to local schools/churches, etc.
May meeting: Some set up Friday 5 pm???

“Sew Many Quilts” needs volunteers for the following components:
- 6 member demos (featuring typical quilt blocks) – 1 member each.
- 4 quilt display tables (each table will have 10 – 15 quilts and a theme: traditional, modern, art, and beginner quilts) – 3 members/table (2 to hold quilt up/1 to tell visitors about the quilt). We will need to borrow 40 – 60 quilts! Please bring to the March and April general Guild meetings at the West Kendall Regional Library!
- 1 children’s table (with a quilt block coloring activity) – 2 members
- 1 or 2 greeters (members) – in the library lobby to direct visitors to the auditorium
- Membership table – inside auditorium – 2 members
- Special invitational cards for members to use to invite a friend.
